Art & Deb Brammer
Art and Deb were both saved at an early age and were challenged toward ministry while growing up. They met at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA and were married just shortly after their graduation in 1977. They applied to Baptist Mid-Missions and were approved for Taiwan in 1978. After raising their support, they arrived in Taiwan in 1980. They served in the cities of Changhua and Taichung. In their 4th term of service there they felt the Lord closing the door for their ministry. The Lord then opened the door for them in Invercargill, New Zealand where they have ministered since 1998. They are involved in a church-planting ministry at Tay Street Baptist Church.
Tim and Martia Franklin
Our primary ministry remains at Seminário e Instituto Batista Bereiano (seminariobereiano.com.br). Except for furloughs we have been here since the beginning of 2004, so about 15 years. It is equivalent to the historic Bible school in the U.S. with an emphasis towards ministry training. Almost all of the students come with a strong sense of vocational ministry.
Since we arrived in 2004 we also assist in the local church either in pastoral transition or church planting alongside a national church. The pastoral transition at “Igreja Batista Regular de Cidade Satelite” is complete but our family still serves there in secondary roles. We also are assisting at a church plant (Serrinha) until God opens the doors to start at Flores do Campo. Both of these initiatives and in supporting role to national churches.
